World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A  boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player can get up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of a Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a different set of bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player repeatedly enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

item upgrades  could have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
